U.S. News & World Report ranks Scripps College as #33 in National Liberal Arts Colleges in the U.S. for 2022–23, #79 in Best Value Schools, and #192 in Top Performers on Social Mobility.

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance ranks Scripps College as #39 among the Top 100 Best Values in Liberal Arts Colleges in the U.S. for 2019, and #67 among all colleges. Kiplinger assesses value by measurable standards of academic quality and affordability. Quality measures include the admission rate, the percentage of students who return for sophomore year, the student-faculty ratio and four-year graduation rate. Cost criteria include sticker price, financial aid and average debt at graduation. Scripps College has appeared on the Kiplinger list multiple times over the years.

The Princeton Review

Princeton Review ranks Scripps College as a Best Value College, Best Western College, and one of its Best 388 Colleges nationally for 2023. Scripps also ranked high in the categories of “LGBTQ Friendly,” “Most Politically Active Students,” and “Most Beautiful Campus,” among others.

Money assesses value by measuring the schools that successfully combine quality and affordability. Their rankings methodology includes tuition fees, family borrowing, and career earnings.

Washington Monthly ranks Scripps College as a Best Liberal Arts College nationally and a Best Bang for the Buck (West) in its 2020 rankings. Washington Monthly‘s rankings methodology includes social mobility, research, and community and national service.
